Neve Schmidt

2029

Hi! My name is Neve Schmidt, I’m a freshman at Sacred Heart Cathedral, and I’m in the Inquiry and Innovation with the class of 2029. I went to The New School of San Francisco for elementary and middle school, and was born and raised in San Francisco with my mom, dad, and younger brother.

I’ve always loved math, I like how it’s logical and the strategic thinking that’s involved with solving different types of problems. I’ve also really enjoyed doing studio arts as my VPA this year, because it calms and grounds me and is a great opportunity to learn more about something that previously has only been a hobby.

Outside of school, I love playing sports. I played basketball and volleyball for my middle school last year, and I also played soccer for 8 years before that. I took piano lessons for 6 years, and I still like to play, as it’s comforting and relaxing to me. At SHC right now, I’m on the girls varsity flag football team, and I’m really enjoying getting to know the sport and my teammates better. I’m not currently involved in any clubs, but I’m looking forward to joining AASU and sports medicine.

I feel so honored to have the opportunity to come to school at SHC, be involved in i2, and work alongside so many talented people. There are so many opportunities here, and I’m so excited to see what the next four years will bring!
