Eliminating Waste of Everyday Items with the help of 3D Printing

The project I did freshman year was called Eliminating Waste of Everyday Items with the help of 3D Printing.  This was primarily a research project aimed at educating people about the sustainability of 3D printing. The popularity of 3D printing has been increasing steadily each year. 3D printing is easy to get started with. In the Bay Area, there are multiple libraries with free 3D printers open to the public. With 3D printing, you can use eco-friendly materials like PLA (Polylactic Acid), which is made from tapioca, corn, and sugar cane. You can get started using Tinkercad and make simple household items like bookmarks, hangers, phone holders, buttons, and much more!
