Hi! I’m Cali Tangaan and I’m a freshman at SHC.
I am currently involved in Kapamilya (Filipino CCC), Photography Club, Cheese Club (I LOVE CHEESE!), and French Club. I also play on the SHC Girls Volleyball Frosh team as a setter. As of right now, my favorite subject is French. It’s so interesting and fun to learn a completely new language.
Outside of school, I play club volleyball, which requires travel across the country as well as practice 3 days a week. So far, I’ve been to Indianapolis, Chicago, Denver, Salt Lake City, Reno, and Spokane. It’s always fun to explore the cities before and after tournaments, especially with teammates. My love and passion for volleyball has grown so much ever since I started in first grade.
My other hobbies include reading, listening to music, and traveling. Hopefully I’ll get the chance to go to France during my time at SHC! I also want to travel to the Philippines, to connect with my culture and learn more about the country’s history. I also like solving puzzles, such as doing sudoku, anagrams, crosswords, and word searches.
