The goal of our project was to create a device that helps amateur golfers to improve their swings. Our golf swing analyzer utilizes an inertial measurement unit (IMU), along with an Arduino microcontroller to provide the user with feedback regarding the angle of their swing and the angle of their clubface. By using the gyroscopes in the IMU, we could gather information on the pitch and yaw of the user’s swing. The Arduino would then process this information and relay the results and suggested corrections to the user through a small display on the club. Our project was intended to be a useful tool for amateur golfers to make quick corrections to their swing.
