Katsy Morrow

2029

Hi! My name is Katsy Morrow, and I’m a freshman at Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep, part of the Inquiry and Innovation program with the class of 2029. I previously went to St. Stephen Catholic School for both elementary and middle school. I’m a Bay Area native, born in San Francisco and raised in Daly City with my mom, dad, and our cat.

Right now, I’m involved in dance at SHC and I looking to also exploring photography in the coming years. I am also hoping to join the Yearbook committee and ASU.

Outside of school, I take dance at Dance 10 Performing Arts Center and Westlake School of the Performing Arts. I’m also a member of The Tap Dancing Christmas Trees, which has given me the chance to perform in many parades, including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. Dance has always been a major part of my life, and I’m excited to continue pursuing it at SHC.

Recently, I’ve been taking up photography more seriously, a hobby I’ve always enjoyed but have now deepened through the mentorship of my uncle. It’s something I’m passionate about and excited to pursue it further.

I’m also an extreme Disney fan. My love for Disney started when I grew up watching my cousin in dance competitions at Disneyland, which sparked my interest in the parks and everything Disney. I know a lot about Disney history, especially regarding the parks, and my goal is to visit all of the Disney parks worldwide. So far, I’ve been to 7 of the 12!

I’m super excited to be working alongside so many talented scholars in the i2 program for the next four years, and I can’t wait to see what this year holds! I’m hoping to use the program as a way to dive deeper into my passion for math and explore what I want to do with my future. SHC has so many incredible opportunities, and I feel so lucky to have been offered a spot in the i2 program.
