My 2023-24 Project

This year, my project idea is to research the cognition of cats, including both their brain biology and behavior. I hope to use this information, and other information that I have researched, to attempt to use classical and operant conditioning on my own cat, learning more about my specific cat’s  behavior, and how cats learn in general. I started having this idea recently, as I became interested in learning and conditioning through my AP Psychology class. I decided to focus on cats, because my cat has been pretty poorly behaved lately, and I want to learn about how she functions and how to possibly improve her behavior. I think this could also be useful for fellow pet owners who also are concerned with their pet’s behavior.
