Meyers Briggs and StrengthsFinders Reflection

According to my Meyers Briggs profile, I am an ISFP (Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving). For the StrengthsFinders profile/strengths assessment, my top five were 1) Intellection, 2) Includer, 3) Achiever, 4) Adaptability, and 5) Learner.

These profiles did match largely to how I see myself, especially on the Big Five strengths/talents. My number one talent/strength according to the StrenghtsFinders profile was intellection. Intellection is characterized by an enjoyment in thinking, philosophical discussions, and working alone, and I think I relate to these aspects of the profile. In contrast, I didn’t see much of myself in my Meyers Briggs profile as an ISFP. I agree that I am introverted, but not that I am necessarily always “sensing” or “feeling”.

Based on the strengths profiles, I think I need to work on working in team settings and being in leadership positions. I can do that through practice; I can work with people and foster beneficial communication habits.
