I first came up with the idea for my project when working on my project last year. I worked on building an RC plane last year with a fellow classmate. When we were testing our plane last year, I came to realize that charging it was more difficult than it had to be. Whenever the plane would run out of battery, we would have to drive all the way back to one of our houses to charge it. Rather inconvenient, isn’t it? That’s how I came up with the idea for this project. What if rather than having to go somewhere to charge your plane or drone, you could charge it right where you flew it or charge it on your way to a destination. I thought that the best way to do this would be making a drone that could be charged by solar power, using the sun as its energy source.
