Hi, my name is Lola Clarke, and I am a Sophomore at Sacred Heart Cathedral. I am a part of various activities in school, like the swim team, speech and debate, campus ministry, and Spanish club. My favorite subject is math because I love solving problems. Furthermore, I am passionate about STEM and learning more about artificial intelligence.
In San Francisco, I wanted to create better air quality. To achieve this, I determined where trees should be planted based on where the most damage was being done. My goal was to reduce the levels of carbon in the air and lower PM2.5 and PM10, and I saw that by increasing tree coverage by 7% in mostly industrial areas, carbon could be reduced by 10% and PM2.5 and PM10 by over 25%
