Financial Literacy for the Youth
My i2 project this year is a website called, Financial Literacy for the Youth. My project aims to improve the financial literacy of kids and teens; a foundational skill many lack today. As a teenager, I’ve always thought to myself, “How will I learn to set up my own bank account?” “How do I invest in stocks?” “How should manage my money?” Financial Literacy for the Youth will be able to answer all these questions, and many more than one may have regarding the complex world of finance. My website will consist of three lessons: Budgeting, debt management, and investing. I believe that these three lessons can give students a basic foundation for their financial literacy, in order to prepare them for their lives ahead.
