The Solar Rover

I am interested in the idea of renewable energy used in portable applications to create independence. This project utilities’ a solar panel to power itself. The goal of the project is to create a rover for use in detailed surveying of farmland. The rover uses GPS and solar to become autonomous as it moves. I want to make this rover ‘open source’ and as easy as possible for anyone to add new testing equipment to fit an ideal situation. The current attachment I want to include is a camera with artificial intelligence to further automate the data collecting process. I expect to finish this project by the end of my Sophomore year.
