Hi my name is Kailey Lin! I’m a current sophomore at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory and a member of the class of 2026 i2 scholars program. At SHC, I play on the JV Tennis Team and help the Tech Crew design costumes for plays. I’m also in the Sports Medicine Club and the Wellness Youth Council. Outside of school, I play volleyball with the SF Juniors volleyball club, volunteer at a brain imaging lab at VA Medical Center, and help tutor elementary school students. Some of my hobbies include painting, baking, tennis, and volleyball.
For my i2 project last year, I conducted an ecological survey of San Francisco to determine which areas in the city would be the most attractive for bees during pollinator season. Over the summer, I created different types of pollinator pods and placed them in the areas that I identified to try to attract solitary pollinators. This year, I aim to design a project centered around human health that can help to inform people of all ages.
